Just dropped ink on a nearly completed page. I had to go hit my punching bag for 10 minutes to not go ape shit. hugely disappointed, I don't have the time to be screwing up like this. My little bro took the page and is attempting to save it. If I was the crying type, I would probably be crying right now. This sucks, it's a hard lesson to learn.

life is much easier when you admit I'm the best at pretty much everything ever. lol ok that was cocky even by MY standards...which are the only standards anyone should abide by.

That is terrible. I am an unusually clumsy person. I have spilled ink, paint, had my nose to drip on my artwork and screw it up. Last year I dropped a bottle of paint on a drawing I had just completed and put a damned hole in it.

yeah, the moment it happened it all seemed so tragic. now a couple of nights removed from it, it just seems like bad luck lol.
oh man that horrible to hear, what did you do? did you have to start all over on that painting? i guess it's a lesson we all have to learn at one point or another, but it doesn't make it any less painful lol. thanks for sharing your stories.

Well, the picture was laying on the carpet and the bottle put a big tearing hole in it. I was able to smooth it out from the back and recolor it from the front. I show it in art shows and people cannot see the tear. I don't plan on selling it, it is one I did for me but I have people asking to buy it even after I tell them it isn't for sale and showing them the tear. I got lucky.

The nose dripping was pretty funny. That DID show up.

Yes, that was in college. I did a really big photorealistic graphite picture with these stylized wild horses in the background. It was so large I was leaning over it when I had a cold. The professor loved the picture and during the critique he was talking about the major points of the picture and he said,"But what is this here?" I said,"My nose dripped on it..."

you'll get it fixed Erick, I've done that before myself. I sometimes would just use whiteout to clean it up, but I've found photoshop to be easier.

Was once almost finished animating a 3d short of some 4 months work, when I spilled a pint of fruit juice into my (year old) laptop, rendering my laptop useless, and my film erased. Now that my friend, is a horrific spillage.

Not that this is a contest =p. Maybe my experience will lessen the gravity of your loss somewhat. Tough break though =(

did that the other day on a hell paso page! gah. fixed it up nice with white paint tho. and photoshop. but when it happened i just stared at it with the anger of a guy catching his girlfriend cheating in his own bed. half sad. half mad. and both very strong haha. and then another day i spilled my entire ink jar all over the floor. luckily it was tile and i got the little eyedropper and picked up most of it and put it back in the jar. ill be glad when im a penciller and i dont have to ink my own stuff. im really starting to hate ink.

yeah my first instinct was to rip the page in anger, then i calmly walked down stairs to the garage and beat on my punching bag lol.
